Figure skating. . . . . . is a sport where an athlete or a pair of athletes skate on the ice while changing the direction of gliding and performing choreographed elements following the music.
Figure skating
Figure skating appeared in the distant past when the first ice skates were created. As a sport, figure skating began evolving with the appearance of metal skates that allowed athletes to control direction of their movement and perform complicated choreographic figures.

Ice skating. . . . . . . ... strengthens and tones muscles, helps improve posture and train the vestibular system. Additionally, it enhances endurance, agility and strength, and improves flexibility.
